Cliff Notes

Oh how I miss putting a good post with good pictures together. But life has just been busy lately so to avoid another post-less day, I've complied a bunch of some what random phone pics to get us all caught up.

Speaking of random: I'm addicted to painting small items at night while watching mad men in my office.
The results:

little wood stool painted with ascp and distressed. I added the cushion top and covered it with a chevron burlap fabric (obviously)
<SOLD>

I really love this little bench that I also painted with ascp. The top is covered with some fur fabric I had on hand

Lamps anyone? I painted the bases of all three and matched them with new shades.
center lamp <SOLD>

And if I didn't have something small to paint, I made one. This blue stag was free handed on a piece of grey-stained wood.

I even painted this guy inside
<SOLD>

There was much more that I didn't photograph so lets move on to my day time work.. you know, the stuff that's too big to move from my garage or drive way. I actually love painting outside because it's the only way I get any kind of tan ;)

I had fun with this dresser. It was done for one of the owners of the flea, so it is available for sale in her space.

This dresse actually lives in my Living Room. There's been a bunch of changes in there (already) that I will share some time soon.

And my latest completed project is this french-y style table and chairs.

I have a bunch of fun new items, including some vintage brass decor for etsy that will be available soon too.

Water and Sand Inspired Furntiure

The sun was out (not for the whole day of course) and I got some bigger pieces of furniture done finally, yay!

If you "like" ReFound Vintage on Facebook you know I said I was dreaming of the beach when I painted this.

Well it was still on my mind when I painted this chair too

I also painted this gorgeous dresser. Not the blues of the ocean but it could be categorized as the sand at the beach. I'm really "painting" a picture of the beach aren't I?  HA!

Ok, this next chair is really pushing it on the theme of the post.. leopard print bathing suit inspired? no? oh well..

Here is a shot when I left the store last night

Recognize the rug? Yep, it's from my Living Room. It lasted all of two months. I know, I'm SO indecisive when it comes to my own home!

Hope every one enjoys their weekend and all this furniture sells in  the next two days!  ..a girl can dream..

Rained out Holiday Weekend

If you live in the South you obviously know there has been more rain in the last two weeks than there was in the last two months. I haven't been able to paint anything large because I don't have the space in the garage. So I've been limited to what I can drag in the house and small items.

The good news is I finally have new items for etsy.

Here are some "smalls" that will be available for purchase online

Pair of hand painted blue, wooden candle holders

large gray, hand painted, vintage wall sconce

Green, Hand Painted, Vintage wall sconce

Vintage Lamp

 vintage shoe forms

More coming soon..

Painted Furniture and a Clock

I have a habit of painting several pieces of furniutre and giving it back to the client or selling it before I share them on here.

So here are a few (cell phone shots-sorry) of what I've done lately

blue chest with great lion head drawer pulls

distressed 3 drawer desk with storage (now available for purchase)

Grey 5 drawer chest

vintage desk (vanity w/o mirror)

Corner chair with new seat

It seems to be raining every afternoon so I use that time to take a break from furniture and do a small indoor project (and eat lunch.) Yesterday I painted a clock..

It started Gold and a bit tacky

Now it has light blue and a little brown with the original gold still showing through

Before the 4th of July I have to paint a Round dining table, a secretary desk and a large kids table.
Wish me luck.
