OPEN HOUSE

Way late in announcing this but this past weekend was A Classy Flea's 18th Annual Open House.

 Everything in the shop was 20%off plus live music, food and giveaways.

Cliff Notes: My Week in Review

I've had so many new projects happening this week that I didn't have time to keep it updated well on here. So here is another one of my "cliff notes" posts

- I brought the one "x" bench that I finished so far into "the flea"

If you are local you can purchase them both and the second one will be finished this week

 

-This guy didn't let my projects stand in his way

- I have a lot of painted, open-back frames available right now, including a set on etsy (click the picture below for details)

 

-I brought in more new furniture that I'll (hopefully) go into better detail about later in the week

 - I painted with a giant boxer in my lap 

-I helped merchandise Christmas decor with an amazingly talented friend

This shop has gorgeous Christmas decor! More about that later in the week as well..

-Then took my favorite person pumpkin picking the next day

Furniture and a little Fall

Hello Everyone!

For those of you who have been reading the blog for a while, you know I sell my furniture and decor at a local shop. Well last weekend I moved spaces in the store, so I figured that would be a good time to add some fall decor.

The next day a sweet prego woman bought the light blue dresser and stag painting for her future son's nursery. Love when my work goes to a good home.

Then I painted a couple client pieces that I am really happy with how they turned out.

One was this side table:

And the other with this little cabinet:

Despite tons of work projects, a flat tire and some version of the flu (for my daughter then for me) I managed to sneak away to my brother's house at the beach for a little while.

 My daughter proved to be a road trip pro and a beach bum.

I can't wait to go back when I have some more time to do some thrifting.

Cliff Notes

Oh how I miss putting a good post with good pictures together. But life has just been busy lately so to avoid another post-less day, I've complied a bunch of some what random phone pics to get us all caught up.

Speaking of random: I'm addicted to painting small items at night while watching mad men in my office.
The results:

 little wood stool painted with ascp and distressed. I added the cushion top and covered it with a chevron burlap fabric (obviously)

I really love this little bench that I also painted with ascp. The top is covered with some fur fabric I had on hand

Lamps anyone? I painted the bases of all three and matched them with new shades.

And if I didn't have something small to paint, I made one. This blue stag was free handed on a piece of grey-stained wood.

There was much more that I didn't photograph so lets move on to my day time work.. you know, the stuff that's too big to move from my garage or drive way. I actually love painting outside because it's the only way I get any kind of tan ;)

I had fun with this dresser. It was done for one of the owners of the flea, so it is available for sale in her space.

This dresse actually lives in my Living Room. There's been a bunch of changes in there (already) that I will share some time soon.


And my latest completed project is this french-y style table and chairs.

I have a bunch of fun new items, including some vintage brass decor for etsy that will be available soon too.

Water and Sand Inspired Furntiure

The sun was out (not for the whole day of course) and I got some bigger pieces of furniture done finally, yay!

If you "like" ReFound Vintage on Facebook you know I said I was dreaming of the beach when I painted this.

Well it was still on my mind when I painted this chair too

I also painted this gorgeous dresser. Not the blues of the ocean but it could be categorized as the sand at the beach. I'm really "painting" a picture of the beach aren't I?  HA!

Ok, this next chair is really pushing it on the theme of the post.. leopard print bathing suit inspired? no? oh well..

Recognize the rug? Yep, it's from my Living Room. It lasted all of two months. I know, I'm SO indecisive when it comes to my own home!
