A Weeks Work

A couple weeks ago I met a really sweet woman who was looking for a dresser to use as a media console. She knew one could easily be converted, but with 3 kids and her husband over seas, she didn't have the time to do it herself.

I painted it black, distressed the edges and removed the top two drawers so she can either put baskets in or her cable box and all the components that come along with it.

She chose to leave the orginal hardware, which worked out well.
I never paint furntiure black, so it was a nice change of pace for me (and it came out great!)

Over at The Flea I recently brought in some cute vintage furniture as well as a kids chalkboard table with two benches (the bowl holds chalk) - just in time for Christmas!

This grey and blue side table is a new addition as well.

And on Etsy I have a new listing for embellished vases and bottles, that are perfect for country or vintage style events.

I'm really hoping to re-stock my etsy shop with a lot more furniture, which will (hopefully) be easier to do in the New Year when I go back down to one space at "The Flea" and have an easier work schedule there.

Changes, changes. It  really seems to be my motto lately!

Have A Good Weekend!

New Buffet and My Christmas List

On Black Friday I actually considered going shopping, but the near 70 degree temperature told me to paint all day instead.. So here is what I did..

almost BEFORE.. I already removed the hardware and started refinishing the top..

AFTER
$229

Then my Daughter and I made our Christmas lists;
Here is mine:

Dear Santa,

I would like the following:

1. A (faux) Cowhide Rug

(IKEA)

2.  A Vintage Chandelier

(ETSY)

3. A Fun Side Chair

I feel these requests are as reasonable as my daughters requests.. of an elephant and cymbals.

I asked her what she thought Santa should get me.. she quickly responded with
"new paint brushes"
Does she know here mom or what?

This year (besides God, my daughter, our good health, family, friends and dogs)  I am thankful to all who have continued to support me, my little business and big dreams.

I am also very thankful to be working at A Classy Flea. This store has allowed me to meet some of the kindest, strongest and most generous people I could have ever hoped for.

The cliche "when one door closes, another door opens" most definitely applies to me this year, and I look forward to see what is behind the new door in 2013.

Happy Thanksgiving!

It would even make a great buffet

Here are my 3 current Favorites:
